Genres

There are various means of communication in the community:

Genres: Site Rules
Using Tablet

Github

Github is a software that is open to people to help share source codes. Firstly there is a need to create an account before joining. Source codes are codes written by programmers in any programming language. So in Github, there is the sharing of source codes to help others and give others what a code looks like. In joining the community, there are questions about how many people one wants to work with and what aspect or feature one is interested in, e.g., coding, team administration, security, etc. They are organized to make it easy for people to explore and ask questions.

Many computer science members believe that GitHub is an essential genre because it is a programming platform that allows computer scientists to communicate and collaborate globally. It was created to serve as a stepping stone to other programmers to create repetition of codes written. One communicates in Github by building codes, discussing on Github and helping issues. There is sharing of information, and one can also be an expert by completing training, uploading a video resume, and completing the application. “Experts are student leaders that strive to build diverse and inclusive spaces to learn skills, share their experiences, and build projects together.
